Pricing

Fees applied to collections (PayIn) and payouts (PayOut), depending on the countries involved.

Pricing model

Percentage

Fees calculated as a proportion of the amount.

fee = amount Ă— (rate / 100)
e.g. 1.5% of 10,000 XOF = 150 XOF

Fixed

A constant amount regardless of the transaction value.

fee = fixed_value
e.g. 200 XOF systematically

For Payouts: fees are added to the amount, deducted from your wallet. The beneficiary receives the exact amount entered.

For Collections: fees are deducted from the amount received by the merchant.

Collection Fees (PayIn)

Fees applied on POST /collections. Deducted from the amount received by the merchant.

CountryValue*

Fee by the payer's country. Multi-currency professional account: this fee only. Standard account: this fee, plus the payout fee of your account's country and, when the currency paid is not your account's, the conversion fee (see below).

Payout Fees (PayOut)

Fees applied on POST /payouts. Added to the amount, deducted from your wallet.

CountryValue*

Fee by the beneficiary's country. It is also the payout fee added to a standard account's collection, for its account's country.

Calculate fees via API

Get the fee in real time before initiating a transaction. Pass the ISO country code directly (e.g. bj) — no internal ID required: source_country (the payer's country) for a collection, destination_country for a payout. With your API keys (X-Public-Key and X-Secret-Key) the answer is the exact price of your account — negotiated tariffs included and, for a standard account, the payout and conversion fees added to a collection — and pricing is account. Without keys it is the standard tariff (standard); invalid keys are rejected (401). fee_percentage is the whole fee as a percentage of the amount, or null when part of it is a fixed amount.

curl -X GET "https://newapi.sebpay.bj/api/v1/c/calculate-fee?amount=10000&source_country=bj&transaction_type=collection" \
  -H "X-Public-Key: pk_live_votre_cle" \
  -H "X-Secret-Key: sk_live_votre_secret"

Withdrawal fees

Mobile-money withdrawal: a standard account (wallet_mode=uniwallet) pays nothing, it already paid the payout at collection; a multi-currency professional account (wallet_mode=multiwallet) pays the payout fee of the operator's country. Bank-transfer withdrawal: every account pays a fee specific to transfers, fixed or a percentage, with a minimum amount, set per currency and account type. Fees are added to the withdrawn amount and deducted immediately when the withdrawal is requested.

Wallet conversion fees

Converting funds from one wallet to another (e.g. XOF → XAF) on a multi-currency professional account applies a fee configured per currency pair, independent of the country-based fee grid above. The same tariffs are used when a standard account collects in a currency other than its own; with no rule for the pair, no conversion fee is then charged (whereas a wallet conversion is refused).

ParameterDescription
source_currency_id / destination_currency_idThe source and destination currency IDs of the conversion.
fee_typefixed or percentage.
fee_valueThe fixed amount or percentage rate applied to the source amount.
min_amount / max_amountOptional bounds on the eligible source amount.

fee = calculate(fee_type, fee_value, source_amount)

net_amount = source_amount - fee

destination_amount = net_amount converted at the source→destination exchange rate

Important note

Fees shown are the standard tariff: they are indicative and may vary with commercial agreements and the account type. Use GET /c/calculate-fee with your API keys to get the exact price of your account in real time.
