Key Concepts

The Sebpay API key is an essential element for establishing a secure connection between your website or application and the Sebpay platform. Think of it as an ultra-secure password, a kind of digital passkey that authorizes your application to interact with Sebpay's services in full confidentiality and security. This key is therefore essential for operations such as processing payments, managing transactions, and accessing your Sebpay account data. When you sign up and create a Sebpay account, a set of API keys is automatically assigned to you. This set consists of two distinct but complementary elements: a private key and a public key. The private key is an absolute secret that must be carefully guarded and never disclosed, as it allows sensitive operations and access to confidential information. The public key, on the other hand, can be used more openly to identify your application to Sebpay and initiate certain interactions, while ensuring the security of the exchanged data.
